I can't tell you what this is but keep looking. Here are some things you can do to get more information:

See if you can pinpoint the location of your find on a geologic map.

You can find one for your area by googling your state + geologic map.

This will help in getting the age of your specimen.

Take that information to this website:

This will tell you if you have a land specimen or a marine specimen.

With this information you can get help by using:

The local rock shop would be a good place to start.

The local Gem, Mineral and rock club has members that will be knowledgeable about your find. Most clubs have websites with contact information.

The paleontology dept of the nearest college would be another place to find help.

The next best thing is to post pictures where fossil/rock collectors will be able to give you some feedback. Here are some fossil forums where you can do that:
